Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for business use by SMB and MSME owners, staff, or authorized representatives, and by individuals seeking to work as Experts. Gokario is built India-first and reflects that in the languages and tasks it's designed around, while remaining accessible to users worldwide as the Service grows.

Gokario allows a Customer to describe a task, by voice or by text, in English or one of several supported Indian languages. Our system interprets the request and generates a structured "job card" describing the scope of work and a recommended price. Once the Customer approves the job card and verifies their phone number via one-time password (OTP), Gokario matches the request with a suitable, available Expert, who then contacts the Customer directly to confirm details and complete the work.

Access to certain features requires verification of your phone number via OTP. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any verification codes sent to you and for all activity that occurs through your verified session. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when using the Service.

As a Customer, you agree that:

• Requests you submit are lawful and do not require a licensed professional (such as a lawyer, doctor, or chartered accountant) to perform regulated advice or services; Gokario's guardrails are designed to decline such requests, but you remain responsible for the requests you submit.
• Information you provide, including your business name, contact number, and task description, is accurate.
• You will treat Experts matched to your job with courtesy and will not request unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent work.
• Payment for completed work, during this pilot phase, is arranged directly between you and the Expert or Gokario outside the platform, after the work has been completed to your satisfaction, unless otherwise stated at the time of approval.

As an Expert, you agree that:

• You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, partner, or representative of Gokario. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and Gokario.
• You will represent your skills and availability accurately and will complete assigned work with reasonable skill and care.
• You will communicate professionally with Customers and will not solicit Customers to transact outside the platform in a manner that circumvents Gokario's role, during any period in which Gokario facilitates payment or dispute resolution.
• You are responsible for your own tax obligations, licenses, and compliance with applicable law in the course of performing work.

Job cards, including the recommended price, are generated with the assistance of automated systems and are checked against a pricing framework maintained by Gokario. The Customer must review and approve the job card, including its price, before an Expert is matched. Gokario reserves the right to adjust, decline, or refer any request for manual review, particularly where the request appears to require licensed professional judgment, appears unlawful, or falls outside the scope of tasks the Service is designed to support.

Gokario uses a combination of automated shortlisting and human review to match Customer requests with available, qualified Experts. Gokario does not guarantee that a specific Expert will be available for any given request, or that a match will be made within any specific timeframe, though we aim to do so promptly.

During the current pilot phase, Gokario does not process in-app payments. Payment for completed work is arranged between the Customer and Expert (or, where stated, directly with Gokario) after the work is completed, using methods agreed at the time. This section will be updated if and when in-app payment processing is introduced, and updated Terms will govern that functionality.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Request or perform any unlawful task, or any task requiring a license Gokario has not verified the Expert to hold.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or discriminate against any other user.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, including its automated systems.
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction.

Gokario reserves the right to decline, cancel, or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms.

Experts are independent contractors engaged directly by Customers, with Gokario acting as a facilitator that helps discover, match, and, where applicable, price and verify the completion of work. Gokario is not a party to the underlying service arrangement between a Customer and an Expert, except as expressly stated in these Terms.

The Service, including any AI-generated job card, price recommendation, or transcript, is provided "as is" and "as available." While Gokario reviews matches and pricing through a combination of automated and human processes, we do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content, the availability of any Expert, or any particular outcome of work performed by an Expert.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gokario shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or any work performed by an Expert. Gokario's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount, if any, paid by you to Gokario directly for the specific job giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Gokario harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

The Service, including its design, branding, software, and underlying technology, is owned by Gokario or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Gokario's trademarks, branding, or proprietary technology except as necessary to use the Service as intended.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise inappropriate. You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. We will post the updated Terms here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably; failing that, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you are located outside India, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement may still apply to you notwithstanding this section.
